I'm an urban designer&landscape architect based in Milan-ITALY. I graduated from Polytechnic University of Milan with a Master's Degree in "Urban Planning & Policy Design".

 

I was born in Izmir(Smirne) or "Il paradiso". That’s how Levantinos call this multicultural city where I grew up…, where you navigate lives of compassionate and tolerant people, and their unique street cultures..., where you will stroll or cycle around the streets carrying the traces of the past with its old Greek and Levantine houses…, where you could watch the city peacefully on a ferry as a seagull flaps its wings… 

 

My first ideas about design and architecture were shaped by my interaction with this human-oriented hometown and observation of its urban transformation. As I grew up, I sadly witnessed how an uncontrolled and bad planning could exterminate the beauty and aesthetics of a city.

 

Having studied urban design/landscape architecture at bachelor and master’s level later on, I got a better insight into the roots of the problems, solutions and decision-making processes from a broader perspective through contextual, analysis-based and interdisciplinary-oriented approaches. I admire people-oriented urban design and landscape architecture manifesto which is why interdisciplinary design objectives have always been a part of my design. 

 

I envisioned a career to take part in projects that will match with my experience and contribute into design community. Thus I look for platforms and projects bringing sustainable solutions through lenses of ecological, cultural and historical perspectives.
